Asian Women Writers Festival, 19 and 20 January 2018, Arts House

The second edition of the Asian Women Writers Festival (AWWF) will be held at Singapore’s iconic Arts House on January 19 & 20. It is organised by Singapore-based India Se Media Pte Ltd, a 10-year old magazine publisher that has carved a niche for itself over the past nine years as an organiser of serious literary events that showcases the work of Indian writers.

The AWWF is the only one of its kind. It aims to showcase the work of women writers from all over Asia. This year’s writers include established and upcoming writers from Singapore, India, Malaysia and The Philippines.

Noted Singaporean writer Meira Chand will deliver the Keynote address, while Ms Claire Chiang, Chairman of the Singapore Book Development Council will be the Chief Guest.

The other writers are Nuraliah Norasid and Balli Kaur Jaswal (Singapore), Noelle Q de Jesus (the Philippines), Sabyn Javeri (Pakistan), Shobhaa De and Mitra Phukan (India). All these writers have contributed significantly to the literature of the region.
